COMPANY DRIVER IS NOT AN ENTRY POSITION
This isn't a starter job.
Most carriers will put anyone with a CDL behind the wheel of a company truck. We don't. The Company Driver seat at Pavas is reserved for drivers who've already proven themselves — clean MVR, real OTR experience, no recent FMCSA violations, and the kind of professionalism that shows up in every pre-trip inspection.
The reason is simple. Our trucks are new — latest model Cascadias with APUs, factory fridges, factory inverters — and our freight is premium. Putting that equipment in the hands of an inexperienced or unsafe driver isn't fair to the equipment, the freight, or the driver themselves.

Our Hiring Standards
- Minimum 12 months OTR experience.
- Clean MVR.
- No DUI in the last 7 years.
- FMCSA Clearinghouse — clean or completed RTD.
- No preventable accidents in 24 months.
- Pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug screen.
- Pass a 90-minute road test.
- Reference check from previous carriers.
- Pass Pavas safety culture assessment.

Verifications
MVR, FMCSA Clearinghouse, employment verification, DOT physical, reference checks. Pavas pays for all of it.
Orientation
One day at one of our terminals - paid. Truck assignment walkthrough, ELD setup, road test with our safety supervisor, dispatch intro. Includes a safety culture conversation.
